Nicole Merritt Patterson
Attorney
Nicole Merritt Patterson is an NC licensed attorney. She is the founder and sole attorney at Merritt Law.
After earning her Juris Doctor in December 2014, she went on to earn her license to practice law in NC in 2015. Nicole is a proud alumna of Lenoir Rhyne University.
Nicole is family driven and her true passion is being a mom to her beautiful daughter. Nicole and her daughter love spending time together, taking care of their cats, and anything outside!
Samara Chak
Paralegal
Samara Chak is a Paralegal at Merritt Law, PLLC and has degrees in both Paralegal Studies as well as Journalism.
Born in Florida, she decided to swap out sandy beaches for the cooler weather here in North Carolina and has never looked back!
Outside of work, Samara is an avid reader, enjoys being outdoors and spending time with friends. She has a green thumb, loves watching a good movie and spending time with her rescue dog.
Courtney Haslett
Head of Communications
As the head of communications at Merritt Law, Courtney is likely be the first person you will speak to over the phone and the first person to greet you. She is always available to provide information or assist clients throughout the process.
Courtney is a rarity as she grew up here in North Carolina and appreciates the local history. In her free time, she enjoys going to museums, playing with her pets (Odin and Mikey) and watching classic movies and tv shows.
Maggie May
Office Administrator
Maggie is the Office Administrator and Lead Accountant for Merritt Law.
Maggie is a recent graduate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she earned her dual Bachelor’s degree.
Maggie is recently married and loves spending time with her husband and two rescue dogs. She also fosters dogs and enjoys reading in her spare time.
